You need basic QA knowledge, not a certificate, to take this course. CTFL is required only if you choose to take the separate official ISTQB CT-AI exam.

The course assumes you know functional testing, test cases and defect tracking. Machine-learning experience is not required. If these QA basics are new to you, learn them first; this course does not train you for a QA role from scratch.

The focus is on AI-specific questions: data quality, model errors and testing methods. Check the curriculum for topics you want to understand more deeply.

No coding is required. You study how to assess model behaviour and choose tests; building or training your own model is outside the course.

For optional exam preparation, the course includes 300 practice questions, lecture quizzes and a timed 40-question mock. They help identify gaps; completion does not guarantee a pass. The official v1.0 exam uses weighted questions: 31 of 47 points are needed to pass.

The current course is based on CT-AI v1.0 and teaches data quality, model behaviour and testing methods. It does not claim to cover the new v2.0 syllabus. If certification matters to you, check the version before choosing preparation.
